The Vice-President of the German Federal Chamber of Doctors Frank Ulrich Montgomery has told the "Berliner Zeitung" that the federal government should give their "swine flu" jabs without mercury and squalene to children and pregnant women and use the same jab with mercury and squalene as the rest of the population to regain confidence.

He also accused the government of generating "dilettantism and a terrible information chaos" by ordering the jab that is less risky for themselves.

Baxter's Celvapan was set to contain mercury and squalene in conformity with the WHO mandated ingredients but the company appears to have dropped the soft kill ingredients at the last moment in response to growing pressure from the German army and federal states.

Baxter was caught contaminating 72 kilos of vaccine material with the live bird flu virus, nearly triggering a global bird flu pandemic, last february.

Berlin — Angesichts der Debatte um verschiedene Impfstoffe gegen die Schweinegrippe hat die Bundesärztekammer die Bundesregierung aufgefordert, den für sie bestellten Impfstoff Schwangeren und Kindern zur Verfügung zu stellen. Die Bundesregierung könne ihre Glaubwürdigkeit zurückgewinnen, indem sie auf den Extra-Impfstoff für Minister und Beamte verzichte und stattdessen den allgemeinen Impfstoff benutze, sagte der Vizepräsident der Bundesärztekammer, Frank Ulrich Montgomery, der "Berliner Zeitung".

Montgomery zeigte sich entsetzt über das Kommunikationsverhalten der Politik. Es erhöhe nicht gerade die Akzeptanz der Impfung, wenn die Regierung für sich andere Impfstoffe bestelle als für die Bürger. Montgomery fügte hinzu, er halte das Vorgehen in Sachen Schweinegrippe für übertrieben und die Impfung "nicht für absolut notwendig". Die Schweinegrippe habe sich "als weniger gefährlich herausgestellt als die normale saisonale Grippe oder die Vogelgrippe". Er wies außerdem darauf hin, dass die Impfung wie alle anderen Impfungen auch keinen hundertprozentigen Schutz biete.

In den vergangenen Tagen war ans Licht gekommen, dass die Regierung für Bundesbeamte einen anderen Impfstoff bestellt hatte als den für die Massenimpfungen vorgesehenen. Der von der Regierung bestellte Impfstoff hat offenbar weniger Nebenwirkungen.
