A 21-year-old man has been confirmed as the nation's 88th human case of bird fluH5N1. The man, from Alexandria, fell sick with fever, cough and difficulty breathing on November 11. He received treatment in hospital from November 15 and is now in a stable condition. The last reported human cases of bird flu in Egypt occurred in September. There have been 37 cases in 2009.
