How relevant is Alex Jones and Infowars?

In Homer’s epic adventure, the Odyssey, set in magical ancient Greece, the Sirens lure sailors to their deaths by their beautiful voices, and the hero, Odysseus, only escapes because he has himself tied to the mast of the ship.
Alex Jones and Infowars is like those sirens: people in the US and Europe listen to his show – and risk crashing on the rocks.
To be sure, Alex Jones has none of the melodious sweetness of the sirens’ song. His brooding, bitter, troubled voice booming out, nevertheless, could be just as deadly, accurate though his information might largely be.
But information is not enough. Action is required. We need solutions.
Anyone listening to Alex Jones, who sits at the centre of a web of disinformation in the alternative media, risks becoming paralysed by sheer fear: fear of the government, fear of the surveillance state, fear of the police, army, schools etc .
There are hardly any solutions offered – and those that are are often not good ones. Ron Paul is like a nobbled race horse.
Operation Mockingbird takes on a new meaning when you hear Alex Jones or AJ as he is known scoff at, lecture and terrify his listeners, useful as his information is.
Max Keiser, a frequent guest on AJ’s show, revealed he had an office in the World Trade Center and only vacated it just before September 9/11 attacks – and AJ didn’t even pick him up on it. AJ is selective about what he finds horrifying and also about the information he presents.
Another frequent Infowars writer, Paul Craig Roberts worked for the Reagan administration (see email below). Rima Laibow’s husband is retired US army intelligence general Albert Stubbledine. Jesse Ventura is a former Navy Seal just like Blackwater’s Erik Prince, scion of a corporate family.Wayne Madsen fuels fears of a lethal virus emerging…Wolfgang Wodarg uses his interview on Infowars to argue patents for pandemic vaccines need to be loosened, implying they are desirable.
AJ suggests to us that New World Order is a gigantic, monolithic apparatus of totaliatarian control that we cannot fight or overcome by his very voice, attitude, emotions. He promotes other disinfo agents and grabs attention away from other websites and radio shows and movements that are working on solutions.
In reality, we are dealing with a small group of people who are disproportionately represented in the media – alternative and mainstream – and who use the media as a subtle propaganda instrument to confuse us and terrify us.
If Odysseus were alive today, he might have tied himself to the mast if he had listened to AJ’s show. Sure, it’s great to get the information but it’s important not to be paralised by the emotion of fear associated by the siren song of AJ’s Infowars.
AJ’s brooding, loud and uncontrollable voice filled with anger, despair, resignation, amazement and horror suggests the New World Order is monstrous, invincible; we are trapped and helpless in its power just like Odysseus who was trapped in the cave with the Cyclops Polyphemus.
But Odysseus devised a plan to get out, put it into action and succeeded.
He also acknowledged his responsibility for getting himself into so much trouble in the first place.
Nothing but curiousity drew him into the Cyclop’s cave. He stayed there to feast on the cheese. Fair play if he ended up in trouble. At the same time, there is no need to overdo the guilt. There is no point in sitting in a corner, shrivelling with fear, listening to the steps of the Cyclops or to the AJ’s booming voice, spreading doom. We have to get out of the New World Order dungeon.
We, the people, have got ourselves into this predicament and it’s up to us to find a way out.
We need to focus on solutions, genuine movements like the personal sovereignty movement, practical steps like renewable energy etc and we need new leadership.
Sure, the next few months won’t be easy. We have to face not just the Sirens of AJ, the Cyclops of the surveillance state, but also the man eating giants from Goldman Sachs, the Fed and the European Bank, and the Scylla and Charybdis of coporate controlled national governments and even more corporate controlled supranational governments like the EU, UN and WHO working for the Bilderbergs.
But a good role model is Odysseus. He was resourceful and focussed always on finding solutions to problems.
Some people might say Homer’s epic is of no relevance to today. But familiarity with the Odyssey will improve our understanding of the values and attitudes needed to meet and overcome any obstacles – and fear, anxiety, stress, resignation and despair are not useful attitudes.
Odysseus, the chief character, is an ordinary human being in many ways, who needs the assistance of the gods to succeed in his many adventures. But he meets challenges with zest, confidence and a determination to succeed and get back home to Ithaca. He uses his brain, and not just brawn and so is the perfect role model for the internet age.
It is time to leave the siren of AJ’s show behind us and sail on to new horizons.
There is no need for anyone on the earth today to be hungry, homeless or to have to work as slaves. The vision of a free, peaceful, prosperous globe is the one we have to set ourselves. We have empowered the New World Order monster by yielding to our fears.

The U.S. has been a police state since Nov. 22/63.
In the 1970's as the JFK Death List was worked on, we knew that the U.S. was a police state and murdering Americans to cover it up. Now 40 years later, hearing this charge is a hollow warning.

In spook terms, it is simply a "legend" for the economic destruction of the so-called American middle class, which is clueless regarding the agenda of the Bush Cabal in centralizing and controlling human and natural resources under the guise of fighting boogeymen like "terrorism."
Roberts continues his misperception by writing that "the reality is that an ignorant and blundering Bush administration has created a Shi'ite crescent from Iran to Lebanon that is revolutionizing the Middle East."
"Ignorant and blundering"? The Bush Cabal knows darn well what they are doing, while the hapless Roberts excuses them in no uncertain terms.
"One might easily conclude that Bush is first among the deluded, but the more one observes economists' romance with outsourcing, the more one wonders if economists are not the most deluded of all," Roberts continues. "Outsourcing converts domestic supplied goods and services into imports. It divorces Americans from the incomes and careers associated with the production of the goods and services that Americans consume."
And that is exactly the point of this exercise. Because the dominant elite perceive that the standard of living of American citizens is STILL too high, the agenda has been stepped up to reduce the United States to the economic status of a third world nation. And that is what US citizens should learn to expect, since the die, as they say, has been cast.
The conspiracy against the gullible citizens of the USA is meant to eventually collapse the economy, so that all assets can be bought up by the dominant elite with their offshore slush funds for literally pennies on the dollar. Then the game can begin once again.
The new economic model for the USA and the rest of the world is High Tech Feudalism.
Roberts writes -- "As foreign labor is substituted for US labor in the production of tradable goods and services, the displaced US work force seeks employment in domestic services that cannot be outsourced. This increases the supply of labor, thus depressing wages, in those labor markets already impacted by the entry of high rates of legal and illegal immigration."
And that is why the Bush Cabal encourages illegal immigration into the United States.
The scam is quite transparent, except to so-called intellectuals like Paul Craig Roberts, who as the Reagan Regime's Assistant Secretary of the Treasury, should know better.
The fact that he writes such specious nonsense makes him immediately suspect.
Is Roberts another shill for the Bush Cabal, pretending opposition while ignoring reality? No wonder America is such a mess.
With blind so-called "leaders" like Roberts, High Tech Feudalism for the United States is a done deal.
