UK mental health act changed to make "swine flu" vaccine refusal reason to be detained in hospitals

News - Latest News

Temporary changes have been made to the UK Mental Health Act in response to the “swine flu” pandemic to allow people with suspected mental health issues to be quickly detained, and on the assessment of only one doctor and not two as usual, under the pretext of fears of upcoming staff shortages due to the pandemic emergency.

The change in the law opens the door to allowing people who refuse the “swine flu” vaccine to be declared paranoid and summarily sectioned (and thus forcibly drugged) under government guidelines.

Swine flu prompts changes to Mental Health Act

Wednesday 23rd September 2009

The government plans to rush through measures allowing people with suspected mental health issues to be quickly detained because of fears over staff shortages in any forthcoming swine flu outbreak, it has been revealed.

The temporary changes to the Mental Health Act, as laid out in an unusually short consultation lasting just one month, would mean it would only take one doctor, rather than two, to have a person sectioned and put on medication without their consent.

The measures could have a serious effect on the thousands of patients with psychiatric issues who currently live outside state care, meaning many could be detained against their will on the word of just one health professional.

With very little information on the proposed changes published, many mental health experts have warned the government that they risk side-lining an already vulnerable community and have called on it to spell-out the full raft of changes proposed in the consultation.

What difference does it make if there be 2 doctors, they do not go against each other anyway, never have never will.
ALL VACCINES COMTAIN POISON!!!
Richard Comaish 2009-09-30 12:18:30

All vaccines contain thimerisol, which is mercury, a substance poisonous even in small doses, and associated with the development of autism. Doctors have been known to deny ("Where does it say 'mercury' in the ingredients?"). Two doctors are needed because a judgment by one is not scientific. But doctors diverged from benevolent science long ago.

Have you actually read the regulations? It's nothing to do with forcing people to take the swine flu vaccine or sectioning them under the mental health act. It's to do with ensuring existing mental health patients can still get their existing medication without having two doctors agree to it. Stop twisting the facts!
"Icky-Pooplies Poison vaccines" moron missing th
BADKarma 2009-10-24 03:01:08

No vaccines have contained thimerosol in nearly 15 years. That is "no" as in NONE. N.O.N.E., NONE.

The "vaccines are icky-pooplies poison yuckies" is standard PETA/HSUS/CSPI/PCRM bullcrap. It is a flat-out, bald-faced lie, and they know it, but continue propagating it.

What is terrifying here is the fact that the government of Britain is trying to force all its citizens to submit to an untested, dubiously safe vaccine by doing an end-run around its own laws using "mental health issues" as an excuse. For anyone who wonders where this is leading, I suggest you rent and watch "Equilibrium".

There are a long list of vaccines that have contained and still contain thimerosal. One just have to read the content descriptions. No secret at all. Why are you trying to make people believe that no thimerosal is used?

Just another example of discrimination against the crazies. If you're sane, you're allowed to refuse the swine flu vaccination. If you're crazy, your refusal is just more evidence for your craziness. Circular and absurd reasoning.
